Salford  v  Leeds  19 / 2 / 2005

Leeds had the worst possible start and were 3-0 down after 15 minutes.The 1st was a sloppy goal from a corner,the 2nd a penalty and the 3rd from a through ball,which was finished easily by the Salford forward.Leeds then started to get into the game,Rob Senior ( Temple Moor ) forced a good save from the home keeper and Jack Mitchell ( Priesthorpe ) rounded the goal keeper only to have 3 Salford defenders scramble the ball away from what looked a certain goal

Leeds made some changes at half time and were by far the better side,but once again they couldn't get the ball in the net.Glen Metcalf ( Intake ), Joe Ritson ( Woodkirk ) and Jack Mitchell all went close.With about 12 minutes to go Mark Roberts ( St Mary's ) was brought down in the area and Jack Mitchell smashed the penalty home.Leeds piled on the pressure  and got a second when Jack Mitchell fired home from close range from a through ball by Lee Turnbill ( Woodkirk ).But with only 2 minutes left Leeds ran out of time.Leeds finished much the stronger side and if it wasn't for a slow start they would surely have won this game.3-2

Leeds  v  Blackburn  29 / 01 / 2005

An even 1st half was seperated by 1 goal to the visitors,a clearance by the Leeds goalkeeper stuck in the mud and he was lobbed by the Blackburn midfielder from 35 yards out 0  v  1

With 5 changes at half time Leeds were the better side but it looked like it wasn't going to be Leeds day, they were creating some chances but couldn't score, until 7 minutes from the end when several passes from the Leeds midfield led to Jack Mitchell (Priesthorpe) passing to Joe Ritson (Woodkirk) who smashed the ball passed the Blackburn keeper to give Leeds a deserved eaquiliser. Leeds looked solid at the back with Andy Burnett (Woodkirk) and Naz Canovan (St Mary's) being Leeds best players.

Nottingham  v  Leeds  15/01/2005

It was an even 1st half with only a few chances for both sides,Jack Mitchell (Priesthorpe) went the closest with a good shot which was saved by the home keeper.

Ten minutes into the 2nd half Boston spa's Leon Walker did a neat turn and set Naz Canovan (St Mary's) up with a chance ,but he put his shot over the bar.Shortly after Nottingham opened the scoring with a shot from outside the area going through a bunch of players and into the visitors net.Six minutes from the end Leeds got their deserved equaliser after some neat passing Michael Lines (Royds) slipped Joe Ritson (Woodkirk) through who tucked the ball passed the out coming keeper .

Leeds   v   Spen Valley   18 . 12 . 04

Leeds had a bad start and were 1 - 0 down after 5 mins,but it wasn't long before this much improved Leeds side started to take control,they went close with a fine shot by Rob Senior ( Temple Moor ) and a corner that went in but the ref couldn't see.Boston Spa's Leon Walker then put Leeds level with a low shot and 2 goals from Rob Senior gave the home team a deserved lead.

From a corner Naz Canovan  ( St Mary's ) out jumped the Spen Valley defence and powerfully headed home,then Mr Thornton's goal of the day ,some neat passing from the Leeds midfield and a firm cross from Micheal Lines ( Royds ) was headed in to the top corner by Joe Ritson ( Woodkirk ) .Leeds continued to control the game and after a good run by Jack Mitchell ( Priesthorpe ) ,Lee Turnbill ( Woodkirk ) tapped home giving Leeds a comfortable win 6  -  1

Bradford v   Leeds  11 /12 / 04

Bradford started the strongest and it was not long before their 1st attack, a fierce shot was tipped disabledscript="COLOR: black"> then started to get into the game; Joe Ritson (Woodkirk) lobbed the keeper, who then managed to scramble the ball off the line. The half ended honours even.

Leeds were a lot better in the 2nd half ,they had another 3 chances from Jack Mitchell ,( Priesthorpe) Leon Walker ( Boston Spa ) and Naz Canovan ( St Mary's )  cleared off the line and a clear penalty turned down. Leeds 2nd half goal keeper Jordan McCann ( Farnley ) made a good save to keep the visitors level. Just when Leeds looked in control a mix up at the back gifted Bradford they never gave up and went close at the end when Dominic Marwood (St Mary's ) shot wide.

Leeds  v  Manchester   4 .12 . 04

On a very small pitch it there was always going to be goals and a great strike by Josh Allinson( Royds ) opened the scoring. Manchester soon equalized then a good through ball by Lee Turnbill ( Woodkirk ) was converted by Nial Canovan (Menston st. Marys). Manchester scored again with a header. Leeds then took over and a second for Nial and a great strike from outside the box from Rob Senior (Temple Moor) made it 4-2 to Leeds ,only for the away side to break away and score and then levelled the scoring with an unstoppable free kick.

A reshaped Leeds side saw Rob Senior split the away side's defence and Joe Ritson ( Woodkirk ) slid the ball passed the keeper. Manchester equalised again with a good goal.A header by Glen metcalf  ( Intake )hit the bar and Nial followed up to gain his hatrick .Leeds started to control the game and a great left foot strike from Glen Metcalf and a 2nd for Joe Ritson made the home side comfortable .Even a Manchester penalty near the end couldn't stop a deserved Leeds victory 8  -  6

Wakefield   v   Leeds    27.11.04

Leeds had the perfect start when Jack Mitchell's free kick was headed home by Domonic Marwood (St.Mary's),.Brilliant skill on the Leeds left by Danny Todd saw Leeds go close.Leeds went 2 up from a Mark Roberts (St Mary's )   corner which Jack Mitchell (Priesthorpe) side footed in.After some neat football a Leon Walker(Boston Spa) cross was headed in by Danny Todd (Farnley) to complete a totally dominated 1st half.

Leeds carried on in the 2nd half where they left off , passes between Lee Turnbill  (Woodkirk)& Danny Todd led to a goal by Joe Ritson (Woodkirk) .Glen Metcalf (Intake) went close with a header and soon after a good strike by Josh Allinson (Royds) put Leeds 5 - 0 up.

Doncaster v Leeds    13th November

After an even 1st half Leeds started to get the upper hand. Rob  Senior  (Temple Moor ) went disabledscript="COLOR: black"> justifiably 1 nil up at half time.

Just when Leeds were starting to look in control the Leeds defenders tried to play too much football in defence and got caught out,after a mix up Doncaster equalised.Apart from the 1 slip up, the defence of Jack Mitchell ,Glen Metcarf (Intake ),Micheal Lines (Royds) and Mark Roberts(St Marys ) looked to have the Doncaster forwards under control.Leeds pushed forward and had good shots from Joe Ritson,Rob Senior ,Mark Roberts and Andy Burnett (Woodkirk) all saved by the goal keeper.

This new Leeds side are starting to get to know each other and will only get better in the coming weeks

Middlesborough v Leeds U14 06/11/04     

Leeds survived early pressure with goalkeeper Sam Fuller (Wetherby High) cutting out some dangerous crosses.

After 15 mins Joe Ritson (Woodkirk) chased a long ball, nipped inbetween keeper and centrehalf, made a good challenge and Leon Walker (Boston Spa) neatly finished (0-1).  After some strong tackling from Mark Roberts ( St. Mary's ), Lee Turnbull (Woodkirk) went close with a brilliant shot.

Deep into the 2nd half, Middlesbrough scored from a free kick (1-1).

 Two minutes into the 2nd half, 2 Leeds players deflected a Middlesborough corner into their own goal (2-1).  Jordan McCann (Farnley) made a brilliant save half way through the 2nd half.

This was a very evenly matched game played at high tempo with chances at both ends, the best from Leeds was a shot from Leon Walker.
