Spen   v  Leeds U15's    10-12-05

An depleted Leeds side that also included 2 under 14 players were still far too strong for Spen and it was no surprise after a good run down the right wing and a firm cross from Matty that Joe Ritson (Woodkirk) struck a firm shot  which left the goal keeper no chance.

0   v   1

Leeds took full control of the second half , Matty was causing all sorts of problems down the right wing with his pace and from one of his crosses Jack Mitchell (Priesthorpe) scored Leeds 2nd goal. Woodkirks Lee Turnbull won a header and knocked the loose ball to claim his 2nd & Leeds' 3rd. Leeds rounded off a good performance when U14 left back Scott who was playing midfield struck a cross cum shot from 40 yrds out and with the goalie having one eye on the oncoming Leeds centre forward the ball bounced over him and into the goal .

v   Bradford       U15's English schools FA 3rd round  3-12-05

On a very wet South Leeds stadium pitch it was a competitive game with lots of effort but very little goal mouth action.

0   v   0    Full time

This game went to extra time and half way through the 1st half Bradford got the 1st goal when a shot from outside the area was deflected which gave the Leeds goalkeeper no chance. When every thing looked against them Leeds didn't give up and on the stroke of half time they got a deserved equaliser from a corner, right back Glen Metcalfe rose above everyone to head home. In the last period of extra time it was all Leeds but they couldn't get the ball in the net.

Leeds    v   Middlesborough  U15's 26th November 2005

In a very competitive match Leeds took the lead after 15mins when Jack Mitchell (Priesthorpe) curled a left footed shot from outside the area into the bottom right hand corner. After some pressure from Middlesborough Leeds increased their lead when Matty  Waring (City of Leeds) burst passed the left back and hit an unstoppable shot into the right top corner leaving the goal keeper no chance.

2   v   0

Although Leeds scored again when Danny Todd ( Farnley) broke through and hit a firm shot the keeper couldn't  stop ,3-0 was not a true reflection of the game and it was no surprise when a strong Middlesborough got a couple of goals back. The game could have gone either way with both sides having more chances but it was Middlesborough who got the equaliser which came from a penalty. A lot of the Leeds players didn't think it was a penalty but in the end it was probably a fair result

Inter Association trophy 2nd round

Doncaster  v  Leeds U15's  5-11-05

This cup tie was evenly matched in the first half with both teams battling away but producing no chances.

0   v   0

The second half was much of the same and with 15 minutes to go it when it was beginning to look like a nil nil draw, but then Leeds started to play like the can and started to produce some chances. Danny Todd started to tease the Doncaster defence with some tricky runs and after beating 3 players he was brought down in the area for a Leeds penalty. Jack Mitchell hit a good low strike to the keepers right, but the Doncaster keeper made an excellent double save, denying Mitchell from the rebound too.The striker didn't get his head down and it wasn't long before he out paced the Doncaster centre half from a great through ball from Nail Canovan and slotted it passed the helpless goal keeper and he almost got a second with
minutes to go.

It was no surprise that the way Leeds have started to play that football league scouts have started to turn up and they have had a word with a couple of Leeds players

0   v   1

On a sporting and hospitality front the Doncaster welcome and spread of food for both parents and players was 1st class and much appreciated
