2007-2008

On Saturday 17th May U11'A' play Sheffield in the West Yorkshire Cup Final Kick off 10.30am playing at Pocklington Sports & Social Club, The Balk, Pocklington, YO42 2NZ. Pocklington is off the A1079 - York to Hull road. There are several road signs for the town off the A1079. Ignore early turn-offs. Leave the A1079 by the B1247 signed for Pocklington (the Yorkway motel is on the corner). The B1247 becomes Balk Lane as it approaches the town's 30MPH signs. The ground is immediatley on your right.

Leave M62 at junction 9.
Turn left at top of ramp and follow signs for Warrington on A49.
Pass though the first roundabout which is controlled by traffic lights.
Turn left at the next roundabout which is also controlled by traffic lights into Long Lane
Travel along this road for about 500 yards Tetleys Social club is on the left the entrace to School (Power League) is on the right between the houses

Playing at their normal ground, but please note that we are directing you off the M1 at Jcn 26 due to the exit from jcn 25 being closed to southbound traffic. It is a shorter route in even though it is slightly more complicated to direct people along.

As long as you stay on the A610 from the motorway (jcn 26) and then make sure you get on the ring road following the signposts given on the instructions you should be fine.

U11'A', U12 & U13 travel to Barnsley, playing in West Yorkshire and Junior Star League matches. these matches to be played at The Dorothy Hyman Stadium, Barnsley. Meet Rothwell Sports Centre @ 8.45 am - coach depart 9am - there will be no room for parents on the coach as 3 teams on board.

STAY ON THE ROAD UNTIL YOU SEE DC COOK - TOYOTA DEALERS ON YOUR LEFT JUST BEFORE A ROUNDABOUT.

KEEP ON THE MAIN ROAD TOWARDS BARNSLEY - THIS IS THE A635 - HUDDERSFIELD ROAD

CONTINUE ON THIS ROAD UNTIL YOU SEE MAJOR TRAFFIC LIGHTS IN FRONT OF YOU, AS YOU APPROACH THEM MOVE INTO THE LEFT HAND LANE AND TURN LEFT TO THE A61 - PROBABLY, SIGNPOSTED WAKEFIELD.

BARNSLEY COLLEGE IS ON YOUR RIGHT AS YOU TURN LEFT AT THE LIGHTS AND GO DOWN THE HILL.

ONCE UNDER THE BRIDGE TAKE THE RIGHT HAND LANE AS YOU APPROACH THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND KEEP IN THIS LANE PAST THE ASAD SUPERMARKET ON YOUR LEFT AND B&Q STORE ON YOUR RIGHT. (DO NOT TURN RIGHT IN FRONT OF B&Q WHICH IS AN OPTION - GO STRAIGHT AHEAD)

REMAIN IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE UP TO ANOTHER SET OF TRAFFIC LIGHTS WHEN YOU WILL TURN RIGHT (BURTON ROAD), WICKES SDTORE IS ON YOUR RIGHT.

CONTINUE ON THIS ROAD UP THE HILL AND STRAIGHT THROUGH THE SET OF TRAFFIC LIGHTS

AT THE LIGHTS YOU WILL SEE KWIK SAVE AND A PIZZA PLACE ON YOUR LEFT BEHIND THE HEDGE.

CONTINUE UP THE HILL AND AROUND THE CORNER AND YOU WILL SEE MONK BRETTON CHURCH AND THE NORMAN PUB ON YOUR LEFT, KEEP ON THIS ROAD TO THE ROUNDABOUT (GARAGE ON YOUR LEFT)

TAKE THE 3RD RGHT OFF THE ROUNDABOUT (STILL BURTON ROAD) DOWN THE HILL PAST THE ENTRANCE TO THE GLASS WORKS AND ON TO THE JUNCTION WITH THE MAIN BARNSLEY ROAD.

TURN LEFT UNDER THE RAILWAY BRIDGE INTO CUDWORTH.

LOOK FOR THE HSBC BANK AT THE SIDE OF ABBEY VETS O YOUR LEFT (ABOUT 800 YARDS PAST THE BRIDGE)

THE RIGHT TURNING IN TO SNYDALE ROAD IS ABOUT 100 YARDS AROUND THE CORNER.

THE STADIUM IS ABOUT 700 YARDS ON YOUR LEFT.

THE ENTRANCE IS AROUND THE BACK OF THE BUILDING ACCESSED DOWN THE RIGHT HAND SIDE CAR PARK.

Saturday, 11th November

U11 & U12 travel to York - match to be played at The 6th Form College
Enter York on the A64 Leeds to York road. Turn left onto the A1036 heading for the centre of York. Go straight a head at the 1st set of traffic lights and turn left at the 2nd set of lights. After the 2nd set get in the RIGHT HAND LANE where you will come to another set of lights.
You should now see the college on the left hand side. Go ahead at these lights into Sim Balk Lane and the pitch is about 1/2 mile on the left.

The Under 13's also travel to York, but they are playing at Wiggington Football Pitches.
Follow the A64 Leeds to York road. Take the A1237 turning which is the York ByPass (Sighns for Thirsk etc). continue straight ahead at every roundabout until you come to the B1363 Wiggington turning. Turn left and continue on that road for 1 mile or so . When you see a right turning into Wiggington Village (Mill Lane). Turn right into Mill Lane and the ground is about 100 yards on your left behind the squash club.

Sheffield Outer Ring Road A6102/A61

 

From the M1, M18:

Approach Sheffield on the M1 and leave the motorway at Junction 33, following the City Centre signs along the dual carriageway (A630). After about 3 miles take exit marked "Ring Road". Turn left onto the Ring Road A6102 (signposted ring-road services - Little Chef on left-hand side). Proceed on the ring road to a roundabout at the top of a hill (3.2 miles) Take 2nd exit (signposted Norton College) and proceed on the ring road to another roundabout (1.2 miles). Continue on the ring until 3rd roundabout (5 miles). Just before roundabout - on your left Take second exit (Straight across marked Ring Road B6054) entrance to the ground is approx. 100m after roundabout. Pitches are clearly visible as they border the roundabout.

 

Due to restricted parking it would be best for the coach to drop the teams off at the entrance to the ground (it's only a short walk to the changing rooms). The coach then doubles back by continuing to the next roundabout. There is some lay-by parking in-between the two roundabouts prior to the sports ground. You will notice these as you pass the Graves Tennis Centre

U11 Girls, U11 'A' , U12 & U13's are away to Nottingham Schools, playing at Highfields Playing Fields, University Boulevard, Nottingham NG7 2RD
Under 11 'B' are away to Darlington, playing at Longfield Secondary School, Longfield Rd, Darlington, DL3 0HT

 

On Saturday 30th September the U13's are away to Bradford playing at  Beckfoot School, Wagon Lane. Bingley. West Yorkshire. BD16 1EE

Under 12's are away to Spen Valley, playing at Spen Valley High School, Roberttown lane, Liversedge, WF15 7LX. You will need to get changed at Liversedge CC, which is just up the road from the school.

Under 11 'A' & 'B' are away to Warrington(A) and Kirby (B) stopping first at Warrington.

Warrington
Heading west on the M62 towards Liverpool leave M62 at junctin 9 follow signs for Warrington on A49 turn left at the second roundabout into Long Lane travel along this road for about 500 yards Tetley Walker social club is on the left you will see a sign on the right Power League in between the houses turn right here and go to reception. The postcode for the venue is WA2 8PX

Directions for Kirkby from Warrington
From Warrington join A49 head towards M62 follow signs for Liverpool leave M62 at junction 6 and follow signs for Southport on the M57 leave M57 at junction 6 and follow signs for Kirkby town centre take the third exit at the bottom of the ramp you will pass under the motorway you have just come off Kirkby stadium is on the left.

into Google Earth and you'll get exact directions. You'll see that its right on the second to last turn off on the M57.
 

DIRECTIONS TO DERBY
VENUE: KING GEORGE V PLAYING FIELDS CARLISLE AVENUE LITTLEOVER

Directions  to playing venue are as follows -

Leave M1 at junction 24A, A50 - follow signs for Stoke.

Exit Junction 4 (A38) take  5th exit and join A38 heading towards Derby.

Exit A38 at junction signposted Littleover, Mickleover  0.5 miles.

Take 3rd Exit off Island heading towards Littleover.

Follow road over two more islands.

Turn right

At top of hill take 3rd exit onto Hillsway. Derby High School is on the right-hand Follow road to TJunction turn Right into Blagreaves Lane

Turn right onto Carlisle Avenue

King George Playing Fields at top of road.

Alternative Route.

Leave Motorway at Junction 28

Take A38 towards Derby. Remain on A38 until see slip road exit signed Littleover / Mickleover / Findern not main island signed A5111 Littleover / Mickleover.

This is just after the island about 1mile on left.

Take 1st Exit heading towards Littleover.

Follow road over two islands past Nuffield Hospital and Littleover School.

At top of hill take 3rd exit onto Hillsway. Derby High School is on the right-hand Follow road to Tjunction then Right into Blagreaves Lane

Turn right onto Carlisle Avenue

Directions for Blackburn

M62 west to J18. Turn right on M66 towards Haslingdon. It changes to A56(do not come off the motorway yet). Turn left towards Blackburn and Darwen Lancashire Garden Centre is on your right. Very soon afterwards turn left onto the B6232. Down the slip road turn left towards Darwen. Stay on this road for about 5 miles before you come to M65. Turn left towards Preston. Stay on the motorway to J3. Turn right to Blackburn. You should now be on the A675. Turn right at the lights onto the A674. Stay on this road for 3 miles. You come to a mini roundabout at Cherry Tree station. Half a mile past the mini roundabout turn rleft on the bend towards Pleasington Playing Fields.


DIRECTIONS TO BECKFOOT SCHOOL, BINGLEY - BRADFORD SCHOOLS' PITCH

Pick up the signs for Bingley/Keighley/Skipton (A650) and these will take you up the valley out of the city past Bradford City AFC on left.

Follow signs for Bingley and you will come to new road - large roundabout at the Yorkshire Clinic/Ramada Hotel.

DO NOT take the new Bingley bypass which goes off to the right but continue straight ahead - signs to Cottingley.

At the first traffic lights go straight through - still on old A650 - and the road goes right/left over the River Aire.

As you straighten out you will see a large school on the right. Get in the right-hand lane and turn into the bus turnaround.

Pitch is in front of you and changing is in the Sports hall beyond the all-weather surface.
